Quality of Life (QoL) is the degree to which a person enjoys the important possibilities of his or her life. Canada's cities are the major immigrant reception centres and where the majority of new Canadians reside. This project, led by McMaster University’s Allison Williams, principal investigator, will investigate QoL issues for immigrants in three small and medium-sized urban areas.

Goals / Outcomes: The project findings will contribute to the understanding of immigrant integration and adaptation and identify significant predictors of QoL among immigrants in different cities across Canada. Researchers will also determine how the results can best inform federal, provincial and municipal policy and programs related to immigrants' adaptation and integration.
